I did it and I finished with a bang!! In the last week of the challenge I ran 2 5k’s in 48 hours: Turkey Trot Thanksgiving morning ”Trot before you Gobble” and Saturday’s Seattle Marathon’s 5k. I have officially upgraded from “Hate Running” to “Don’t Hate Running”. Here’s the bonus…. I ran 2 miles today & I didn’t even have too!! Maybe Tuesdays will really become “Two Mile Tuesdays”. My reward, I just paid for registration to the Rock N Roll Seattle 1/2 Marathon June 26, 2010! By June I will surely upgrade from “Not Hating” to “Like” to “Love”.
Renton’s Victory Get Fit Club Fit Pro, Marisa Mancke’s December assignment: “Century Challange Club” 100 squats/ 100 Push ups/ 100 crunches everyday in December. I will have to alter my challenge to replace Pushups with 50 Bicep curls and 50 Tricep Dips. I have Postural distortions and muscle imbalances, my chest muscles are too tight so I hunch…. too many push ups make it worse. Day 1 so far: After my 2 mile run, 30 Squats in the shower shampooing my hair & 50 squats brushing my teeth. Saving 20 squats for brushing my teeth before bed and crunches, curls and dips for tonight’s TV time. Scrubs is back with new episodes!!
I’m posting my Lunch because I’m holding myself accountable with your help. I turn 34 next month and every year I say that by next year, I’ll be 20% body fat. Somehow, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s eating seem to deter my Jan. 19th dreams. This year…. I’ve got these “Challenges” and my readers to keep me on track. Thanks!
